Curious Worshippers Join Buhari At The Mosque To Confirm Second Wedding Rumour
An unusual number of Muslim worshipers joined President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Mosque on Friday to observe the weekly two Raka’at prayer
Former governor of Zamafara State, Presidential aides and some ministers were among the curious worshipers.
NAN reports that the increasing number was a curious attempt by some to confirm the allegations that President Muhammadu Buhari was marrying a second wife.
NAN said in its report: “In what appeared an attempt by some curious worshippers to confirm the veracity of social media allegation of Buhari’s taking a second wife.”
Social media was dominated on October 10 by speculations that Buhari was getting married to Sadiya Umar Farouq, the minister of humanitarian affairs.
The viral post had October 11 as the wedding date.
Well, Buhari only did the usual thing by exchanging a handshake with the curious worshippers.
According to NAN’s report, some disappointed worshippers urged Nigerians to be wary of unverified social media reports.
The Minister named in the fake wedding post is currently out of the country.
TheCable had earlier confirmed that the video released as a pre-wedding party of the Minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq with the President was recorded on September 14.
It was an event put together by her family and friends to celebrate her appointment.
