JUST IN: Buhari Reconstitutes NNPC Board
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday reconstituted the Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), following the expiration of the term of the board members appointed in 2016.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina stated this in a statement.
“The Members of the new Board are Mohammed Lawal (North West), Tajudeen Umar (North East), Adamu Mahmood Attah (North Central), Senator Magnus Abe (South-South), Dr Stephen Dike (South East), and Chief Pius Akinyelure (South West).”
Adesina said that the new board will be in place for three years.
Meanwhile, NAIJA CENTER reported the death of the immediate past group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru has reportedly passed away, aged 60.
Mele KYARI. the NNPC Group Managing Director disclosed his death to the Media.
He said “my brother and my mentor, Dr Maikanti Kachalla Baru, immediate past GMD of NNPC died late last night.”
