Peace Returns to Obagie Nevbuosa as New Okaighele is installed
Peace has returned to Obagie Nevbuosa in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area after weeks of restiveness in the Community as tussles for power ended with the installation of New Okaighele, Emmanuel Aigbedo.
The peace accord reached in the community borders on the new appointment of Okaighele (Youth head) to Compliment the efforts of elders in building a veritable Village.
According to the Enogie, His Royal Highness,HRH, Steven Imadomwinyi, the approval of Emmanuel Aigbedo signal the end of the Tenure of Festus Edegbe as the Okaighele of Obagie Nevbuosa Village.
In a statement released and signed by the chairman Elders Council of the Village, M.O Erhunmeunse stated that the change in baton of Emmanuel Aigbedo from the former Okaighele, Festus Edegbe is inline with the traditional ethics of the village which takes immediate effect from the installation date.
The statement reads in part; “This is to inform members of the public that the HRH, Stephen Usiomwanta Imadomwanyi, the Enogie of Obagie Nevbuosa, Ikpoba Okha LGA has approved the appointment of Emmanuel Aigbedo as Okaighele of the Village. He takes over from Festus Ekenaiye Edegbe”.
Others also appointed were, Uyi Igiebor and Henry Emwinghare who will serve at various capacities in the village
He charged the New Youths head to work with elders in realising the set goal of attracting development to the Village.
Reacting to the new task, Emmanuel Aigbedo said he was ready to merge the cracks among youths to Foster peace and development
He appealed for all support in achieving the task ahead while thanking the elders and Youths for the trust reposed on him.
