I will not submit to blackmail or intimidation – Comrade Osakpamwan Eriyo warns Godwin Obaseki
…dares him to proceed with planned demolition of hotels
By John Mayaki
The National President of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Comrade Osakpanmwa Eriyo has warned Governor Godwin Obaseki that all his attempts to blackmail and intimidate him into backing his second term ambition are doomed to fail as he is neither scared nor worried, irrespective of the mad lengths the Governor is going to.
This was after the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development served an illegal notice to Mega Touch of Klass Hotel and Suite belonging to the Comrade over his criticism of the Governor and refusal to support his second tenure bid.
Comrade Osakkpamwan condemned Godwin Obaseki’s vindictiveness and dares him to not just demolish his hotels, but even move down to his residential property as that would neither move nor cower him into submission.
“I will not submit to intimidation or blackmail of the Governor, I want him to know that. If he like he can demolish all my properties including where am living, I will not support him.”
“Obaseki said he will not spend money for people, but he is busy spending Edo people’s money to buy people to endorse him for second term.”
“Let me also remind Obaseki that he has incurred debt for Edo people. In less than four years in office, Edo is second in debt profile in Nigeria today with nothing to show for it. Let me ask Governor Obaseki to provide the C of O of his father’s houses, and the building plans too,” he was reported to have said.
Comrade Osakkpamwan Eriyo is alleged to be the latest victim of Godwin Obaseki’s battle as the Ministry, allegedly acting under his directive, had earlier issued same illegal notice to Lafun Hotel belonging to Barr. Henry Idahagbon and the plot of land opposite the hotel.
