PDP can’t win Ekiti, Osun governorship election without rigging – Tinubu

A National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot win the Ekiti State governorship election unless it resort to rigging.

Tinubu added that PDP has not showcase an alternative manifesto to challenge the one APC has presented in the state, therefore, it could only win by manipulating the election results.

He disclosed this during a fund rasing dinner hosted by “Friends of JKF” in Lagos State.

He said, “Those in Abuja have sent their agents down again for a repeat performance. They are not ashamed. Defend your votes, it is your right. No matter how much they complain, you will not see them do the campaign because they want to alter the Mathematics.

“If they cannot do subtraction and addition successfully during the governors’ forum, they will not be able to do it during this election. I say it again, if you want to arrest me, come on, arrest me. If you rig this election, we’ll roast you.”

Tinubu who said Fayemi is a dependable candidate added that the Ekiti governor would deliver the dividend of democracy to the people of the state.

While addressing the people, Fayemi and the governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola urges the Independent National Elelctoral Commission (INEC) to have a rethink on its decision not to use Voter Card Read Machine in the coming Ekiti and Osun governorship elections.

Fayemi, who supports the use of VCR machine said that no stone would be left unturned to make sure that their votes count and result announced in Ekiti and not somewhere else.

He added that INEC would not only be pressured to use the VCR machine but also be encouraged to state its commitment to free, fair and credible election in the two states.

Fayemi reminded the people that the collapse of the PDP Candidate, Mr. Ayo Fayose, during the Ifaki-Ekiti campaign was a sign from God revealing the true colours of the enemies of the state.

Also speaking, Aregbesola stated that the PDP was already collecting the voter identification numbers on voter cards with the aim of cloning the original cards, adding that the only way the cloned cards could be detected as fake was through the use of electronic voting system.
